Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is all about creating a place where every kid feels safe and connected: a place to belong and a place to become. This is that place for nearly 14,000 youth in 40+ locations across Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Ely, Tonopah, Panaca, and Winnemucca. It’s a place for kids to go before and after school, during school breaks, and during the summer to grow beyond the classroom. The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows helps kids and teens achieve great futures by providing a safe and fun space, an engaging Club experience, and caring professionals to guide them along the way.

The mission of Dodson Elementary School is to ensure that every student achieves high levels of academic and personal growth by providing a safe, positive, and challenging environment. We are committed to helping every child achieve career and college readiness for the 21st Century. As Dodson Elementary’s proud partner in education, PK Electrical works closely with the leadership team and staff to provide resources that enrich the students lives. Whether we are sponsoring their book fair to ensure every student has new books, celebrating the teachers and staff for their hard work, or volunteering our time for field day, we are committed to supporting the Dodson Grizzlies!

Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful

Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB) is dedicated to creating a more sustainable and beautiful region through waste reduction, education, and active community involvement. KTMB is an affiliate of the national organization Keep America Beautiful. KTMB focuses on community education, recycling programs, illegal dumping prevention, annual community clean-up programs, and they partner with local businesses in their efforts to become a certified green business. We are currently working towards to become a certified green business!

Nevada Women’s Fund

Nevada Women’s Fund works with community donors and supporters to raise financial contributions and other resources to support northern Nevada women and families. They identify critical social needs and address them through award of individual education scholarships and funding to community non-profit organizations that share the NWF mission to strengthen and empower our community.

Race178

Race178

Race178 is the premier race organization in Northern Nevada. Since 2005, Race178 has been organizing races that bring runners of all walks of life together. Their flagship race, the Reno Tahoe Odyssey (RTO) is a 178-mile relay race throughout northern Nevada that spans over 2 days. They also host the Leprechaun Race, a family friendly 5K walk or run event that takes place in early March. PK Electrical is a proud corporate sponsor because we believe in creating space in our community for healthy activity.

Reno Rodeo

Reno Rodeo

The “Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West,” the Reno Rodeo is a 10-day event. The Reno Rodeo is a PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) sanctioned sporting event. Reno Rodeo is a non-profit organization made up of almost 1000 volunteers. The event impacts the Reno/Sparks area economy with $42 million going to hotels, casinos, restaurants, and retail. The Reno Rodeo has been nationally televised on CBS Sports, Fox Sports Net, Versus, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Classic.

Treasure House of Hope

Treasure House of Hope

Treasure House of Hope changes lives and restores families by assisting with career development/education, counseling, life skills, supportive services, and parenting support. Individuals in recovery can live at Treasure House of Hope for free for a year. They support their residency through the Bread Ministry, where a variety of banana, pumpkin spice, and zucchini breads are baked every week and provided to the community on a donation basis.

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office

Washoe County Sheriff’s Office

Each year the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and Honorary Deputy Sheriff’s Association partner to assist less fortunate youth in our community during the Holiday Season. One night each year at a local Walmart, the "Shop with the Sheriff" event pairs children who are referred by local non-profit agencies and the Washoe County School District’s Homeless and Transition Program, with volunteers from the Sheriff's Office and the community for a once in a lifetime shopping trip where they can purchase items for themselves and/or members of their family.
